We will cover the basic stitches, tips on choosing colors, developing designs for embroidery, using negative space, transfer techniques, and everything you need to get started. 

About the Instructor:Christi Johnson is a textile artist and the designer of Mixed Color, a collection of clothing and textiles made from natural and recycled fibers colored with natural dyes.

For the past decade, Christi has been a designer in the fashion industry in LA and NY, while working in textile arts on the side. She uses natural dyes in her daily business, bringing to the work her lifetime experience with dyeing and other textile techniques she grew up immersed in, as the daughter of a fiber arts lover. Christi has taught natural dye classes for the past two years, and loves to share the details of this art with other creatives.  www.christi-johnson.com
